Stayed at Skanes - Royal Mirramar - very good. just totally chilled out for a week - no shops to look in but when you go away for the weather who needs shops and you will have been in eonough of them just before your hols for your last minute bits. Food good, local wine excellent. looking for another bargain to return.

I have been to the sahara beach hotel (the one this 'lady' mentioned) and i can say it was one of the best holidays we've had as a family! The evening entertainment was fantastic especially the hotel rep's show of the lion king!!!! We found the locals very friendly and helpful obviously some people are not easily pleased, as for the food at least it wasn't all chips and burgers! That is part of the point to going abroad to try out their cuisine but english type food was easily found, also alcohol was certainly available when we were there and free on fully inclusive!

My sister and i have been to Tunisia at least 4 times and each holiday was more enjoyable than the previous. The weather was always pleasant and the food delicious. The locals were friendly good humoured, we now have several close Tunisian friends.

Went to Tunisia for Xmas 06, wished we stayed at home, weather was pleasant, unlike locals. Because it was so quite we were hounded everywhere we went. We were so bored, apart from a few boat trips and a 2 day sahara trip which is the only thing I would recommend (although alot of coach travel). Beware of horse rides/quads, a lady on our resort was stood on by horse ended up seriously ill in hospital locals were insured and her travel insurance didn't cover 'dangerous sports' - BEWARE!

i went to tunisia, not your usual 'party type' holiday but if you're a discerningn traveller into sahara sunrise/sunsets, differenet cultures, historical stuff you'll enjoy - i loved it - women need to be very assertive - there are some great excursions
